I have to say, fifteen years after the original game came out, I still haven't found another game that comes even *close* to having the impact on me as Myst and the others have. When I saw :icondusksong:'s finished meme, I really wanted to try it for myself, so here it is. It took longer than it should've, partially because :iconmorwen09: and I discovered the movie "Labyrinth," and I was too busy falling in love with Jareth.

...as a side note, does any girl see Labyrinth and *not* fall in love with Jareth?

Anyhow, this brilliant and awesome meme is gratis :iconartoveli:, so go and visit her now!

Yay know, I think you should have put Jareth into your dream Myst age. :D
:iconlinuin:
Oh, he's there. He's leaning against a wall just around the corner, juggling crystal spheres and wondering why I'm taking such a dreadfully long time to catch up. XD

I love David Bowie and his music. My friend is the coolest thing that has ever happend to me. I wish I had my drivers licence right now. I was born to be wild and I live in the wild.

(the friend says...) ... omg, David Bowie AGAIN? WTH? check out my

Ah, I love it!:D I especially like your Atrus Rescue picture. Not many of the memesters seem to have much confidence in him!

And you love Dinotopia too! Dinotopia pretty much is my dream Age...
:icontaigan:
Especially awesome!

Thank you! Well, I figure that Atrus' big problem was trusting his sons' good will too much, but he's pretty darn clever when it comes to puzzles. Just look at all the contraptions he's built and the Ages he's written! Can't fault the man for smarts, even if he *is* a bit naive.

...and when I was eight years old, I told my dad that I loved him, but that I was running away to live on Dinotopia. He and mom could visit if they liked. I couldn't find it, though, so he took me to meet James Gurney when he was in town, and that was almost as good.

Oh wow! I wasn't young enough for that sort of thing when I read it (I think I was...twelve?), but I would have done the same thing I'm sure!:D

You've met James Gurney???? Man, I've never met any of my favorite authors. *kicks can* Although, I did meet Yann Martel last month!
:iconlinuin:
Yeah, he comes to our museum to give a talk on dinosaurs every couple of years. He signed my books and drew a little apatosaurus in one of them for me. It was pretty sweet.

Yann Martel? *That's* awesome.
